A warm Greek feta appetizer, topped with honey, olive oil and sesame seeds. Serve it with pita chips and veggie crudités.

 Adapted from Greco, a wonderful Greek restaurant in Tel Aviv.

Serve with crackers, chips or veggies.

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ lb. feta cheese, about 1” thick slice

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed

  • 2 tablespoons black sesame seed

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • Crackers for serving

DIRECTIONS

  • Oven to 400 F degrees.
  • Put olive oil in a bowl that can hold the feta. Mix the two kind sesame in another bowl. Dip feta into oil to coat on all sides, then dip in the sesame seeds to coat it all over. Transfer to an oven proof serving dish. Drizzle with honey.
  • Bake for 5-8 minutes, just until lightly warm, and serve.
