This super quick dessert is a variation of a popular Israeli dessert.

Israeli Ice-cream Sundae with Tahini and Halva

You can get date syrup (silan), shredded halva and Turkish delight in Kosher markets and Middle Eastern markets or online. Alternatively, use regular halva and crumble it.
Use coconut milk based ice cream to keep this dessert parve and vegan.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream

  • 1 tablespoon tahini paste

  • 1 tablespoon date syrup (see note above)

  • 1 tsp chopped pistachios

  • 2 tablespoons shredded Halva for serving (see note above)

  • Turkish delight for serving (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  • Scoop ice cream into a serving bowl.
  • Top ice cream with tahini and date syrup. Sprinkle with pistachio, shredded halva and Turkish delight and serve.
