Vered Guttman is an Israeli chef, food writer and food historian that moved with her family to Washington D.C. in the early 2000’s.
She launched a catering company in 2005 and since then had the pleasure of bringing modern Israeli, traditional Jewish and Middle Eastern flavors to private parties, diplomatic events, and even to the White House, where she was invited to help cook the Obamas Passover Seder in 2014.
Vered’s many articles on Jewish and Israeli food history have appeared at Haaretz, The Washington Post, Moment Magazine, The Nosher and more.
She gives lectures and cooking classes on the history of Jewish food around the country, at JCCs and Universities, as well as on Zoom for Jewish publications.
